#45: Pink Floyd Asked To Pay For THE WALL

I saw that statement about Pink Floyd paying for the wall on FACEBOOK not too long ago. Humorous yet very poignant. Our esteemed leader #45 has made numerous claims that his administration would "build a wall" on day 1, and that Mexico would pay for it. Yesterday, #45 tweeted that big things would be happening today, Wednesday, regarding National Security. All indications are that an executive order will be issued so that the tide of immigration, that is visas issued to a set of specific countries, will cease. AND "The Wall" construction or plans for its construction will begin. Not too shabby for a first week.

The Wall is intended to secure our borders from the waves of illegals gaining access to our freedoms. That combined with sanctuary cities, reports of murderous rapists, criminality, etc, etc, first gave purpose to the American fears of immigrants preached by #45. This WALL will stop those "illegals" from coming here and then when we are secure with our border we will flush out the rest of those nasty folks and send 'em back from where they came.

So the conference is set. Washington D.C. at the Department for Homeland Security a few minutes after 3PM and #45 takes the podium to great applause with Mike Pence at one side and John Kelly, Director of HLS on the other.
#45 starts with his condolences to those experiencing the devastation due to the recent storms and assures those that FEMA will be assisting as soon as possible. This segued into border security and  a statement that both  border patrols officers and homeland security are law enforcement agencies whom he instructed will enforce the laws and enforce each "strongly." "We do not need new laws", he stated. Let them do their job, he suggested.

When the WALL was mentioned #45 focused more on Mexico, its economy and its problems. Reports are today's speech had a different slant and was modified to such after #45's top advisors met this morning with top officials from Mexico who claimed "Mexico first" and sought assurances that this administration would not jeopardize the last 25 years of complete cooperation between our two nations. The Mexican group also informed the US of Mexico's desire to help end the tide of illegal immigration by first the US help Mexico in stopping the immigrants escaping Central America through Mexico and causing "havoc" in Mexico and the United States. The Mexican government is also asking for the US assistance in stopping cash flowing from the US to the drug cartels in Mexico. #45 alluded to the fact that Mexico was willing to be cooperative.

"Today we get back our borders," he suggested. The tide of "illegal immigration from Central America" will cease. These illegal immigrants are harming Mexico also, he said. Our goal, according to #45, is to dismantle the cartels, stop illegal cash entering Mexico, and to help build Mexico's economy. This is quite a change from just building THE WALL and having Mexico pay for it. Now, he added "Homeland security will begin building the border wall, so badly needed" and added we will get the bad ones (illegal immigrants who are criminals) out fast with "John Kelly leading the way".

#45 plans to end catch and release, make other countries take back their criminals, end sanctuary cities, add 5000 more border officers, triple ICE officers, help victims of illegal immigrant crimes. He said, there is No higher duty than protecting American people. Not bad for the first few days, not bad.

#45: As We Enter Day 5

Today I celebrate my 65th trip around the sun. It's good to be a true Senior Citizen now. With that said, I have seen a lot of presidents during my time on this planet.Ike was the man when I entered this world and unless there is some medical or unfortunate accident, hopefully #45 will not be my last.

I started off last week by offering my hopes, wishes, and prayers to the newest leader of the free world. And I write only what can be reported about progress he has made. Yet, I must accentuate some of the knuckleheads he has employed and the boneheaded statements made. But today will be all FACTS with no "alternative facts".

#45 formally abandoned the TPP (Trans-Pacific Partnership). Most Americans have no idea what this pact is or what it does. Yet, I have faith that as a successful (questionable) businessman prior to taking office, that #45 knows all the implications of the TPP. He promised to disavow this during his campaign, well, here it is on Day4. Bravo I say even though I have no idea what impact it will have. Some GOP leaders are claiming this is a bad idea while the other side of the aisle is saying, "Good Job".Confusing, you bet.

#45 signed an executive order instituting a government hiring freeze on all employees "except the military". A job freeze by the "greatest job creator God has made". Hmmm, I am confused.

#45 met with congressional leaders (both parties) falsely claiming he lost the popular vote (by almost 3 million votes) because millions of unauthorized immigrants cast illegal votes for Mrs. Clinton.Virtually, there is NO evidence to support this claim and never to the extent #45 claims.

TUESDAY January 24: Today #45 will met with the heads of Ford, GM, and Chrysler.

President Donald Trump’s chief adviser, Kellyanne Conway, is touting “alternative facts.” Which immediately joined “It depends upon what the meaning of the word ‘is’ is” in the Obfuscatory Hall of Fame.(NYTimes)

#45: Day TWO in Review/It's a Sunday and His Pants Are On Fire

Day Two:
Imagine being Sean Spicer. You got this new gig and the first time you approach the microphone as Press Secretary for #45 you know this job is gonna suck big time. You look around at all the "sharks" ready to pounce as they smell blood. So you think lie. Hey my boss did it so why not give the press what later will be remembered as "alternative facts". I wish I would have had that phrase in my vocabulary as a teen trying to escape some questioning by my parents.
Alternative fact #1:The crowd at the Inauguration was the best attended. Yo Sean, look at the photos. Oh Bossman said bad camera angles.Bad angles my ass.And #44 in 2009 was the largest, still.
#2:Ridership on Washington's public transit was higher this inauguration than 2013.As if I cared, but still not true OR "it's an alternative fact".
#3,#4,#5: WHO CARES about floor coverings, fencing, etc? Facts are facts.Sean tell KellyAnn,my newest favorite comedian in charge, that there is no such thing as an "alternative fact", just fact.

So let's here from some press folks on Sean's first attempt to inform us. Glenn Kessler of the WASHINGTON POST wrote, "This is an appalling performance by the new press secretary."
Another, Linda Qui stated, "Pants on Fire".
Nice job Sean.

And then KellyAnn Conway is on MEET THE PRESS (NBC) and is confronted with Chuck Todd's allegation that:“Four of the five facts he uttered were just not true,”. “‘Alternative facts’ are not facts.”.
How dare him question our "facts".

Okay enough about Sean. Let's talk arrogance now. KellyAnn makes a bold announcement that most Americans are past the point of caring if or when #45 will release his taxes returns. She actually stated something along the lines of "get over it, never".

While this news day is going on folks, mostly women, are resting comfortably after making a huge statement of protest on Saturday. NYC figures estimate that 400,000 people took part in a WOMEN'S MARCH in #45's hometown, soon to be the epicenter of resistance.

Not too shabby for Day 2 and Day 3 of the new administration.

Just remember the start of the third chorus of #45's Inaugural Ball song, MY WAY..."Yes,there were times, I'm sure you knew, When I bit off more than I could chew"...Yeah.

#45: DAY TWO IN REVIEW:FOR WHAT ITS WORTH

Imagine you are a political leader waking up only to find "millions" of people, mostly women, protesting against you. Not just in one city, and not just in your own country, but rather protesting worldwide. AND it's only DAY TWO of your administration. Not particularly a good morning I would think unless that is what you wished to accomplish.
To quote STEPHEN STILLS:There's something happening here, But what it is ain't exactly clear " So you're up early and throw on the news, split screen a few channels, and view this protesting phenomena with your first cup of coffee. An interview here with one mother supposedly setting an example by bringing her daughter along, then a retired female educator who is appalled by things you said during the campaign and afraid that you will follow through on some if not all, Pro-choicers, a few celebrities and a couple of opposing party politicians throw in. Mostly all carrying signs. What a field day for the heat,A thousand people in the street,Singing songs and carrying signs, Mostly saying, "hooray for our side"
This march sought to call attention to a host of issues, yes, and singularly showed exactly what a protest should be, No looting, no burning, and only a few arrests. America is great again. Not like the day before when those thugs destroyed property, etc, all probably pawns of the previous administration, I bet.

Turn the TV off and peruse the dailies. There you are corrected by the misguided reporters critiquing on things you said the previous day, weeks and months. Fact checking you to the Nth degree. How dare they. I am the leader of the free world and I do NOT get questioned, you think. So what if you misjudged the size of the crowd at your inauguration, so what if it wasn't as well attended as either of your recent predecessor's, and the media IS responsible for your feud with the CIA who today you have their  back, well at least your persona does; "THERE IS NOBODY THAT FEELS STRONGER ABOUT OUR INTELLIGENCE COMMUNITY AND CIA THAN DONALD TRUMP". (I get nervous when folks refer to themselves in the third person).

Putting down The Times, et.al, you go online to view the "alternative" news and blogs. What a morning! Can this get any better?. Even those guys are name calling you. BLOTUS: Biggest Liar of the United States, WOW, what a great title. And CHEATER CHEETO, a new one referring to your "orangeness". Satisfied you single handedly disrupted the apple cart, you rest, awaiting to actually take over on Monday as you planned. You look up and pray silently, "Thank you Lord for this great weekend".

#45: Review of Day THE INAUGURATION

Yesterday ,JANUARY 20th, The INAUGURATION of our Forty-Fifth President, I heard a song on the radio only just a few moments before I left the confines of my car to step into my home where the TV was already showing WASHINGTON D.C. in all it's majestic glory. Today is the day democracy can brag about. Today is the day of that "peaceful transfer of power". What a wonderful thing that is. peaceful transfer of power from one administration to another, from one political ideology to another. Peaceful. That song on my car radio spoke volumes, appropriate as it was :THIS MAGIC MOMENT.
                                                   "This Magic Moment"
                                                       This magic moment
So different and so new
But like any other
Until I kissed you

And then it happened
It took me by surprise
I knew that you felt it too
By the look in your eyes

Okay, without the "until I kissed you line, but you get the drift(ers).

Meanwhile Gambian President Yahya Jammeh is refusing to step down despite the threat of military intervention by neighbouring states. Adama Barrow, who beat him in elections last month, is due to be inaugurated as their new president on Thursday, but Mr Jammeh has ignored the deadline. West African military forces are ready to enforce a transfer of power.

So, HOW DID OUR DAY #1 GO?

FROM NEWSDAY:Dan Rather — who covered many inaugurations for CBS News over a long career there — was denied a TV camera Friday, but not Facebook. In a long post, he wrote of Trump’s speech: “His words and tone were angry and defiant. He is still in campaign mode and nary a whiff of a unifying spirit. There was little or nothing of uplift — the rhetoric of Washington, Lincoln, Roosevelt, Kennedy, or Reagan. . . . I imagine many more being turned off, even sickened, rather than inspired by what our new President had to say. President Obama looked on with an opaque poker face. One could only imagine what he was thinking.”
Would Rather have said this on the air Friday afternoon? Probably not. But he did probably capture some of the fear and loathing of other anchors. “It felt as if . . . [Trump] almost was insulting every living president that was sitting next to him,” said “Meet the Press” anchor Chuck Todd.

                                                  "Eve Of Destruction"
Yeah my blood's so mad feels like coagulating
I'm sitting here just contemplatin'
I can't twist the truth it knows no regulation
Handful of senators don't pass legislation
And marches alone can't bring integration
When human respect is disintegratin'
This whole crazy world is just too frustratin'
And you tell me
Over and over and over again my friend
Ah, you don't believe
We're on the eve of destruction

Saturday morn DAY#2 of #45: Dismantling of OBAMACARE, officially, THE AFFORDABLE CARE ACT.

Why am I thinking of a BEATLES tune?????

                                  "Tomorrow Never Knows"

Turn off your mind, relax and float down stream
It is not dying, it is not dying

Lay down all thoughts, surrender to the void
It is shining, it is shining

Yet you may see the meaning of within
It is being, it is being

Love is all and love is everyone
It is knowing, it is knowing...

... that ignorance and hates may mourn the dead
It is believing, it is believing

But listen to the colour of your dreams
It is not living, it is not living

The First Day of The Rest of Our Lives

At noon today the 45th President of The United States of America will be sworn in, President Donald Trump. Sorta has a ring to it however strange it may sound. Just going back in my mind to a time not too long ago when"The Donald", as he was known, was a businessman of debatable success; some say bankrupt others say billionaire,Whatever. Most of the American citizens never saw him as presidential by any stretch of the imagination. And if you say you did....No, you didn't.But today...

It's a new dawn with a new administration. Sure there will be a "honeymoon" period where we the public will offer the benefit of doubt to his new cabinet members, etc. Yet I know personally that many of his staunch supporters expect immediate change (remove replace OBAMACARE, strengthen the SUPREME COURT, curtail IMMIGRATION, and get the terrorists )while those who opposed him are waiting patiently until this coming Tuesday when "the wall" will be finished. Regardless of which side of the fence (no pun...well,okay) you are on, one only hopes that our 45th president will be good for our country.

We, the people, should offer no ill will toward our president, ever. Unfortunetly, our out going President #44 did not and still this morning did not receive the same graces. So to this I offer my best wishes and sincerest thank you to President #44. May the Good Lord look over you and your family and remember WE THE PEOPLE are forever in your debt for taking on the responsibility of Commander In Chief of the Greatest Nation on Earth for the last eight years. While at the same time I offer President#45 the same prayer and thank you.
